Malayalee spinner Arjun Nair picked by Cricket Australia for their Under 19 team
India-origin, Australian malayalee spinner Arjun Nair will be among the 18-member National Performance Squad (NPS) announced by Cricket Australia for the upcoming Quadrangular Winter 'A' Series, also featuring India A, Australia A and South Africa A starting August 13.
Carrom-ball spinner Nair is a part of Australia's U-19 squad and currently plays for New South Wales (NSW).
The 18-year-old will look to make his list A debut in the next month's four-team series.
Sean Abbott, who has debuted in Australia's T20 International side, will be the most experience player of the group with 31 First Class appearances for NSW.
