Comprehensive win for Friends11

Friends11 surged to a seven-wicket victory after its seemers strangled the Hornbills’ batting order on Saturday (June 4) in the fifth match of the UKMCL at the Hainult Cricket Ground.

Anand Sajeevan, the seemer was the spear head of the F11’s bowling attack, for his 4 for 12 and the skipper Arun Krishnan who snared 2 for 18 in 7 overs including 1 maiden, bamboozled the Hornbills’ batsmen with their pace and guile. Midhun Sebastian and Pratheek Mathew, were also brilliant on their pace attack and bagged 1 and 2 wickets respectively and helped mow down the hosts for 143 in 31.3 overs.
Amir Ali (78), the opener allrounder was the top-scorer for the home side, which gave the home side a decent score on board.
Upon resumption of play after lunch, Jayaram Jayaraj and Jaimon Jacob, who opened the second innings were aware of giving a great start for the F11’s chase. Their batting momentum and skills justified the reason why we call them the best batsmen of F11. F11 once again revealed the meaning of aggression by witnessing an outstanding innings of Jayaram Jayaraj 76* from just 39 balls with six 6s and seven 4s. Jaimon Jacob gave a good support for Jayaram and he scored a mesmerising 16 (20) in style until he became the victim of Amir Ali’s accuracy and pace which dislodged the off stump. F11 lost two more quick wickets of Lojith and Sreekumar Menon and we had the most aggressive batsman of F11, Riju George on the crease to finish the match in style by scoring a quick 14 from just 5 balls.
The innings ended long before the scheduled timing as F11 managed to chase the target 144 from 15.3 overs and having 7 wickets in hand.
F11 is focusing on the three Cs, Competency – Communication – Coordination, and this is the motto of F11.
Friends11 will take on KCWA in the sixth match set of the tournament on Sunday the 12th of June.
