UKMCL 2015 Season start on 25th APRIL Saturday.
Much awaited 2015 season of UKMCL (United Kingdom Malayalee Cricket League) to start on the 25th Saturday 2015. UKMCL which was setup in 2004 by various Malayalee organisations to cater for the needs of the growing number of Malayalee Cricket teams in the UK has now grown in to the biggest and oldest Malayalee cricket league outside Kerala, India.
The opening games will see the defending champions EMCC (East ham Malayalee Cricket Club) take on MCC at 12:30 hrs. at Hainault Recreational Ground, and UKMCL first league champions Friends 11 formerly known as CKCC take on Phoenix at John Ruskin playing fiels in Croydon.
The other 2 games which are scheduled for the season opening week are KCWA vs Griffins at John Ruskin and Newcomers Hornbills Vs Global at Hainult.
With new teams and players joining the league for the 2015 season, it promises to be an exciting and exhilarating season ahead. All teams have been preparing hard in the winter for the 2015 season with only one goal in mind, which is to be the UKMCL of ‘League Champions’.
With the league’s standard rising year on year players from all teams have been keen to showcase their ability to achieve the highest accolade for their clubs.
In addition to achieving glory for their respective clubs players will compete among themselves to receive personal accolades by winning the league’s ‘Best batsman’, ‘Best Bowler’ and ‘Best All-rounder’ titles. These titles are highly regarded among players.
With 2015 season just around the corner all teams & players are eagerly waiting to see if they can bring glory to their respective clubs. Good luck to all the teams.
