Young Cricketers made the most out of Kerala Carnival
UKMCL are so proud once again after successfully organizing Kids Cricket at Kerala Carnival on Flanders Playing Fields in East Ham on Saturday 5th July 2014. Worked closely in partnership with Malayalee Association of UK (MAUK) and Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) we have managed to bring the true spirit of Cricket among Young Malayalees in this Carnival atmosphere. Highly talented young cricketers ranging from age 7 to 13 competed in the twenty over cricket match. A lot of convincing to be made to our proud parents who let us have this game played with a Readers genuine Leather hard Cricket ball as some of the boys never played competitive cricket before. It's all paid of watching these youngsters play like professionals in the end. A typical week end of a UKMCL Cricket stars early on Saturday morning till late in the evening, we normally fail to bring smiles to our wives' faces. We are overwhelmed to see happy Malaya lee mums bringing their boys to this match and thoroughly enjoying all aspect of this great game. Thanks to all our proud mums and dads who gathered to support this event.
UKMCL would like to thank Mrs Manju Shahul Hameed, Honorable Mayor of Croydon for her esteemed presence and presenting the trophies to young Malaya lee Cricketers. It could not have been possible to manage such a quality cricket game without Mr. Ratheesh who is ECB approved Cricket coach currently working with Essex County Cricket Board and also the official New ham community Cricket coach. Congratulations to our proud youngsters. Abhin, Aftab Mohammad, Akhil, Anton, Arron, Athul , Gaurav, Haripreet, Joel, Joshua, Madhavan, Nathan, Nikhil, Sainiranjan, Sidarth and Yathin. UKMCL aims to support budding young cricketers and planning many more exciting events in the future.
