EMCC and Global emerged as the finalists while MCC and KCWA to compete for the losers final. Despite the heavy rain fall at regular intervals EMCC and Global upheld the true spirit of cricket and played an exciting twelve over match. EMCC won the toss and elected to bowl first, Global set a target of 80 runs with Swami, Binu, Sharon, Adi and Simson all contributing their fair share, Sharon provided the fireworks with the few boundaries on a wet outfield. Jijo and Robin got to a flying start opening the bowling attack, Robin dismissing EMCC’s top order cheaply, Jijo, Binu, Sharon and Simson all bowling with fire in their belly, with EMCC requiring 30 runs in the final 3 overs, and Global winning by over 20 runs. Sharon's batting was key to Globals victory, He feasts the crowd with some powerful hitting right from the beginning and named man of the match for his brilliant 56. Global stayed true to the tried and tested method which has got them through to their 4th final in 4 years and winning 2011 and 2014 ULMCL T 20 tournament in style.
After having a dismal start to the UKMCL league matches few would have bet on Global to win this year’s 20-20 tournament, but the batting and blowing came true at the right time and was executed beautifully.
